Medicilon’s Structural Biology Laboratory is equipped with a molecular cloning room and offers a drug discovery and selection solution based on protein crystallography, supporting drug development from the determination of new targets to final structural determination.
Our structural biology solution is one of the earliest established structural biology laboratories in China, and has been recognized as providing an important new drug R&D solution by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government.
We have significant experience in the expression and purification of recombinant proteins, utilizing various protein modalities, including prokaryotic, yeast, insect (baculovirus), and mammalian cell expression systems. In addition, employ fusion technologies to provide our clients with more options for protein expression and purification. We tailor our services to meet your project needs, encompassing design, gene optimization, expression condition optimization, and purification technology system to ensure the quality and expression level of your target protein.
The measurement of the complete three-dimensional structure of a protein and its complex assembly is the scientific basis for studying the relationship between molecular structure and function in life activities, as well as for revealing the physical and chemical nature of life phenomena. X-ray diffraction of protein and its complex crystals is one of the main methods used to study the three-dimensional fine structure of biological macromolecules.
Medicilon provides complete sets of M9 selenomethionine (SeMET) medium for the IPTG-induced E. coli expression system, enabling the production of selenomethionine-labeled proteins and protein crystallography using multi-wavelength anomalous diffraction (MAD). This medium simplifies E. coli culture steps and reduces time, manpower, and material costs.
