Medicilon has currently completed the pharmacokinetic study of common insulin and oral insulin compound preparations of a company in Jiangsu, administered the test product subcutaneously and orally, and measured the blood glucose level of animals with a Roche blood glucose meter; Immunoassay (RIA) was used to measure the concentration of insulin and C-peptide in canine serum, and the concentration of insulin in bile. C-peptide was used to correct the level of endogenous insulin, and the results were in line with expectations.

At the same time, the pharmacokinetic and safety evaluation experiments of fast-acting and intermediate-acting insulins were also carried out, mainly including pharmacokinetics, single-dose acute toxicity, 28-day repeated dosing, preparation safety and other experiments. Pharmacokinetics mainly uses enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to analyze the total insulin and endogenous insulin in dog plasma after administration; further understand the test substance during the single-administration toxicity experiment, and make adjustments to the dosage and supplementation. The analysis and control of the law of sugar; the identification of true or false aggregation results during the hemolysis test; the grasp of the law of sugar supplementation and how to replace sugar supplementation through food supply during the 28-day repeated administration process, etc. How to rescue low animals, etc., these problems have been overcome one by one.

Our Preclinical Pharmacokinetics Department has a number of professionals with rich theoretical knowledge and experimental experience for experiment design, experiment implementation, bioanalysis and data analysis. Our Pharmacokinetics Lab has passed the GLP certification by NMPA. Following the guiding principles of ICH, NMPA and FDA. The lab offers in vivo and in vitro pharmacokinetic tests according to the needs of our clients and provide them with complete sets of pharmacokinetic evaluation and optimization services. Our acclaimed quality data collection and efficient experiment can meet our clients’ needs from early drug discovery to new drug filing.
